Nova Sintra, Jan 22 (Inforpress) – Seven female lacemakers signed a contract this Friday in Nova Sintra with the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD) under the Renda Brava project, which will allow them to earn monthly income.
The project, according to information provided by CNAD, aims to develop a “reference product” for the island, through a brand “reflects the symbolic, patrimonial and identity value of the island”.
In addition, it is also intended to “enhance the know-how” of the lacemakers, through collaborative work between this class and designers.
After the signing, Adelina Lopes, representing the group of lacemakers, told Inforpress that the signing of this contract represents “a lot” for the group, announcing other steps and projects.
