São Filipe, Nov 26 (Inforpress) – The health structure at Brava Island, which currently works with a doctor, will be reinforced, within two weeks, with two physicians who specialize in general and family medicine.
These are two doctors from the Cuban Cooperation, specialists in general and family medicine and other valences such as ultrasound and pediatrics, Deputy Secretary of State Evandro Monteiro told Inforpress.
“They are doctors with multiple areas of action and associated with the investments made, allow to create a greater capacity of medical and sanitary response on the island, bringing security to the whole community and the population”, said the Deputy Secretary of State stressing that, at this time, the island has only one doctor, but the situation will be resolved within two weeks.
The Ministry of Health is dealing with the issue related to the documentation normative process and Evandro Monteiro believes that in a short time the island will have, for the first time, three resident doctors, two specialists, plus the health delegate who will start to exercise its activity with more autonomy.
