Nova Sintra, Sep 6 (Inforpress) – Kelvin Andrade, a graduate in Design, is the ambassador for the “REPIKÁ, music as a creative matter” contest and is encouraging young from Brava Island to participate in “gaining experience and meeting new horizons”.
The “REPIKÁ contest, music as creative matter” is promoted by the Ministry of Culture, through the National Center for Crafts and Design and framed at the Cabo Verde Craft Fair URDI 2019, designed under the theme MUSIC – Visual Poetics.
The young ambassador is a teacher of Arts Education and in addition to sharing the contest on social networks has been meeting with potential interested parties in order to provide them with support and clarification, as in the case of island seamstress and other creatives.
Speaking to Inforpress, he said that from the meeting he had with the seamstress today, they guaranteed that they will participate and they intend to include some natural musicians from Brava Island and the poet Eugénio Tavares, making the link between the musicians and the poet, through of a piece within sewing area.
Regarding the music itself, he stressed that he is having some difficulties, considering that some of the interested parties are conditioned by the lack of time and material means to prepare the project.
