Boa Vista: Prime Minister announces arrival of drinking water to the Northern zone in August

Sal Rei, Feb 15 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, announced that the project for the desalination of drinking water in the northern zone will be completed in August, to improve the capacity of water supply and quality for the population.

Ulisses Correia e Silva gave this guarantee this Sunday during the presentation of the projects in the North, explaining that the executive is giving satisfaction to a “great demand from the population” has long expressed the need to have clean drinking water in conditions in the three communities of Fundo das Figueiras, João Galego and Cabeça dos Tarafes.

“With the conclusion of the works, with the installation of a water desalination plant to reach people’s homes in good condition and with the other projects launched, including the Povoação Velha project, we will cover 100% of the needs of the populations in the northern areas of Boa Vista”, said the Prime Minister, stating that this is a “commitment the Government is making ”.

Still according to guarantees from the Head of the Government, the work will start in March and will be concluded in August, which will allow to solve the water problem in the Northern zone, which will reach the houses through the water network.
