Praia, July 13 (Inforpress) – The Boa Vista Police Station has announced that investigations carried out on Tuesday, under the cover of home search warrants issued by the Public Prosecutor, resulted in the arrest of four individuals suspected of robberies recently verified on the island.
The police station of Boa Vista, with order for domiciliary searches issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, started proceedings that ended in the arrest of four suspects.
According to a statement from the National Police that Inforpress had access to, the operation carried out by the local police comes as a result of the armed robbery that took place last June 15, which were victims a couple of tourists and some national citizens who they tried to help them.
As described in the statement, the assault in question occurred in the Curral Velho area by a group of hooded individuals.
Already in the possession of the four suspects, the police seized weapons, machetes and knives and a list of victims’ belongings, namely a pair of bifocal sunglasses, a pocket wallet, a tablet, a camcorder and mobile phones with its chargers.
