Sal Rei, Jun 8 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, the Minister of Culture and the Mayor of Boa Vista call for the preservation and conservation of Forte Duque de Bragança, for the environmental and historical value it adds.
Ulisses Correia e Silva, Abraão Vicente and Cláudio Mendonça launched this challenge to the community, visitors and tourists that visit the historical building Forte Duque de Bragança, located in the islet of the city of Sal Rei, built in 1820 to protect Boa Vista, whose requalification and rehabilitation project was officially opened on Wednesday, 07.
During the opening ceremony of the historic and cultural building, the Prime Minister asked that the exploration of the space be carried out in an organized and structured way so that there is no excess or zero production of waste, or any situation that may affect the environment.
“This is part of marine terrestrial biodiversity, which means that this is a perfect match between history, identity, culture, environment and marine preservation, and, therefore, value must be created around this initiative”, he said, reinforcing the call for balanced use of the rehabilitated space and the entire islet.
