Boa Vista celebrates today the Municipality Day and its patron saint Santa Isabel


Sal-Rei, Boa Vista, July 4 (Inforpress) – The population of Boa Vista is celebrating today the Municipality Day and its protector Santa Isabel, in a mix of political, religious and profane activities with the day starting with a solemn session in Municipal Assembly, followed by a Eucharistic ceremony.

The municipal elections and civil society will now focus on the solemn session, in which the political forces, after the last municipal elections, will make the radiograph of the last ten months of this City Hall management.

As soon as the political ceremony is over, religious activities begin with Dom Arlindo Furtado on his first official visit to the Island of Dunes as Cardinal to preside over the traditional eucharistic ritual, preceded by a procession in some of the main streets in  the City of Sal-Rei, with the purpose of transmitting the message of faith and sharing of the common good.

The emblematic Mother Church, built in the center of the city, presents itself renewed, since in the last few days it received small remodeling works, typical on this occasion, and has been completely ornamented with flowers and cover in front of its main entrance in order to accommodate the many faithful who will surely defy the sun that will be felt at this hour.
