Sal Rei, Sep 24 (Inforpress) – The Grupo Jovens Solidários da Boa Vista Association (AGJSBV) will extend the campaign back to school until the end of the school year 2020/2021 and extend it to other villages in the Island of Boa Vista.
The president of the Association, Lamine Fati, told Inforpress that 65 school kits have already been delivered in the neighborhood of Boa Esperança and considered the campaign is going “slowly but well”, in collections and support.
This solidarity project, according to the association leader, was created in the school year 2019/2020 to help parents with difficulties in the acquisition of school materials for their children, arise from economic weaknesses, caused by the situation of COVID-19 pandemic.
“At the moment we are in a distribution phase, having already delivered sixty-five school kits to children in the neighborhood of Boa Esperança, as well as sharing clothes and shoes for families, except textbooks and books,” he said, aiming for the end of the school year to help a greater number of families.
