Sal Rei, Sep 28 (Inforpress) – The Boa Vista Musicians Association (AMBV) held an “open conversation” about Morna World Heritage and a serenade through the streets of the city of Sal Rei, activities framed in the 3rd edition of the Morna Week.

The information is from the president of AMBV, Manuel Brito, who spoke to Inforpress about the agenda of activities are being carried out, in partnership with the City Hall of Boa Vista (CMBV), for the 3rd Morna Week, focusing on the commemoration, this Monday, the 27th, Morna Day in Boa Vista.

According to explained, the date was established right at the beginning of the creation of the association aiming to dignify the Morna Intangible Heritage of Humanity, and honor António Lima “Djidjungo”, author of the Morna “September 27”, written in 1947.

As Manuel Brito explained, morna is a musical genre that the association always wanted to give attention and prominence, with the prospect that this musical genre would be recognized, as it is today, when there was still no talk about the Morna as Intangible Heritage of Humanity, nor world.
