Belarmino Monteiro Silva appointed Ambassador of Cabo Verde to Nigeria

Praia, Oct 7 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, decreed, on a proposal by the Government, the appointment of Belarmino Monteiro Silva to hold the position of ambassador of Cabo Verde in Nigeria.

According to the publication in the Official Bulletin of October 6, consulted this Wednesday by Inforpress, the diplomat will have residence in Abuja, being the first ambassador of Cabo Verde to take office since the establishment of the embassy in that country.

Belarmino Silva was appointed by the Government in October 2018 to diplomatic and consular inspector in service committee, having served as consul general of Cabo Verde in the Netherlands since 2012.

In January of this year, the Government created the Embassy of Cape Verde in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, based in Abuja, whose plan is to strengthen and increase the excellence of its relations, according to a publication in the Official Bulletin.
