Praia, Mar 6 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister guaranteed this Monday, in Praia, the “total engagement” of the Government in Cape Verde’s participation in the Basketball World Cup and change the staying conditions in the Country of coach Emanuel Trovoada.
Ulisses Correia e Silva gave these guarantees during the reception ceremony of the national basketball team, in a meeting attended by captain Fidel Mendonça and the technical staff, president of the federation, Mário Correia, and partners.
“The Government will continue to support and now we are going to guarantee financially the conditions, for preparation and competition and we call for the involvement of the company, in order to raise our level of participation”, said the Head of the Government.
This increase in Cape Verde’s level of participation in the World Cup, said the Head of government. It will have a “great” return for the country, in terms of promoting the sponsoring companies themselves.
