Baptista de Sousa Hospital points to “growing improvements” in the care given to patients – Chief nurse

Mindelo, Feb 12 (Inforpress) – The Chief nurse at Baptista de Sousa Hospital, Vera Monteiro, assured that the health institution has managed to promote “increasing improvements” in the care given to patients and it allows them to be in the center of attention.

The head of nursing, who spoke to Inforpress about the World Patient Safety Day, observed today, confirmed that the institution is focusing on the patient and improving their access so that “everyone who needs access to health”.

In this sense, Vera Monteiro pointed out, as an example, the changes made to the Appointment Center, which allowed the organization of all specialty consultations, making it possible for primary care patients to prevent them to go to the hospital for appointments and complementary exams of diagnosis.

“Patients still receive calls about appointments or their changes, which was not the case in the past and we still managed to computerize the appointments so that the patient leaves the first appointment with the subsequent appointments scheduled and examinations as well”, reported the same source , which considers this one of the biggest gains.
