Athlete Marilson Semedo is the tenth ranked in the world Discus Throw

Praia, Jun 8  (Inforpress)–  Cabo Verdean international Paralympic athlete  Marilson Semedo, african gold medallist in the Discus Throw, occupies the tenth place in the world Discus Throw ranking, according to the latest update of the World  Para  Athletics  Ranking.

According to information from this world paralympic body, with the mark of 36:39 reached on March 18 at the Africa Championships in Tunis (Tunisia),   Marilson  Semedo, 31, also holds third place in the ranking in the F57 category.

The African podium in this category, according to  World  Para  Athletics  Ranking, consists  of   Libyan Rajab  Mahmou  (44:08),    Cameroonian  Amougui Emanuel Pinochet (37:34) and Cabo Verdean athlete Marilson  Semedo (36:39).

Marilson Semedo, an amputee of a lower limb, reached the minimums for the Tokyo Paralympic Games 2021 in March at the 32.68-metre Discus Throw in the qualifying race of the “Grand  Prix  de  Tunis” this year.
