Associations of municipalities in Cape Verde and Portugal sign a collaboration agreement

Lisbon, Feb 7 (Inforpress) – The National Association of Cape Verde Municipalities (ANMCV) and the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP) signed a collaboration agreement in Portugal, focusing on training institutions and their members.

The president of ANMCV, Herménio Fernandes, who made the confirmation, to Inforpress, for a week in Portugal, among others, participated in the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), which awarded the International Medal of Honor to municipalities in Cape Verde. but also signed a collaboration agreement with the Portuguese Association of Municipalities with Historic Centers (APMCH).

“The collaboration agreement now signed, focuses especially on training institutions and their members, promoting citizenship, local development and attracting investments, territorial planning and management, environmental, digital and energy transition, areas considered as priorities for increasing the affirmation of local power in Cape Verde”, explained the ANMCV.

In the agreement signed by the presidents of the two institutions, Herménio Fernandes and Luísa Sagueiro, according to the same source, it was also agreed to develop a collaborative digital platform as a “space for approximation and convergence of interests, accessible and transparent”, which allows, namely, aggregating and rationalizing interventions, identifying partners and funding sources and presenting integrated operational solutions.
