Praia, Jan 3, 2023 (Inforpress) – The Armed Forces today received a range of sports materials from the Institute of Sports and Youth (IDJ) whose purpose is to strengthen and develop the skills of the military and the appreciation of national sport.
The administrator of the IDJ, Graciano Sena, said during the equipment delivery ceremony, today, in Praia, that the Government, within the scope of the program for the sports sector, guaranteed the improvement of sports practice, allocating more resources to these institutions.
As he explained, sport is a social phenomenon that attracts segments of the population, boosts the economy, contributes to improving people’s quality of life, strengthens the culture of peace, consolidates the educational process and promotes essential values for healthy coexistence”.
“Believing us that the Armed Forces of Cape Verde frame, share and cultivate all these values that sport naturally drives”, he specified.
