Any MpD militant is free to stand candidature with the motto he likes – Ulisses Correia e Silva

Praia, Apr 28 (Inforpress) – The president of the Movement for Democracy (MpD), Ulisses Correia e Silva, said on Wednesday that any militant of the party he leads can stand candidature for the leadership of the MpD with the motto he likes.

The Prime Minister was speaking to reporters on the way out of a meeting with the president of the Cabo Verdean Independent Democratic Union (UCID), João Santos Luís, when he was asked to comment on the Orlando Dias candidature motto for the presidency of the MpD launched on social networks.

“Any MpD militant is free to stand candidature with the motto he likes,” he said.

Orlando Dias militant and parliamentary member, elected by the MpD, presented as the motto of his candidature “Rescue the MpD – Return the party to the militants” and said the central objective of his candidacy is to create chain within the party and unite the bases around common objectives, corresponding to the concerns of militancy and support base.
