Praia, Aug 14 (Inforpress) – The annual rate of change registered by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in July 2017 dropped from 1.7% to 1.5%, lower than in the previous month, by 0.2 percentage point (pp).
According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), released in Praia today, the underlying inflation indicator (total excluding energy and unprocessed food) registered a year-on-year change of 1.2%, an identical rate of the previous month.
Data from INE also confirm that the monthly variation of the CPI was 0.0% (0.1% in the previous month and 0.2% in July 2016), lower than in the previous month, by 0.1 pp.
The average variation of the last twelve months registered a rate of -0.2%, higher than the previous month, 0.3 percentage points higher, confirms the INE.
