AME 2023: Zul Alves makes debut at AME and wants to contribute to the preservation of Cape Verdean culture

Praia, April 14th (Inforpress) – The young Cape Verdean singer Zul Alves made her debut at the International Music Fair on the last night of the Atlantic Music Expo (AME) 2023 with songs from her album “Busca”, a fusion of traditional music and new musical trends.

Zul Alves, born in Praia, was the one who opened the shows on Thursday, the 13th, and the last night of the 9th edition of the only global market for African music.

Judging by the audience’s reaction, Zul sang, danced, enchanted, and left the stage with the audience clamoring for “just one more,” in a presentation based on the songs that are part of her new project “Busca,” launched in September last year on digital platforms.

“The last song I sang gave the name to the album, it even tells the story of the album and ‘busca’ came about through research, really looking for, finding roots, the tradition of Cape Verde because I am very attached to traditional music of Cape Verde so I wanted to do something focused on traditions with the intention of seeking my musical identity,” she explained to the press.
