Praia, April 11 (Inforpress) – The general director of the Atlantic Music Expo (AME) requested incubation at the Ildo Lobo Palace of Culture from the government on Monday so that the organization can better prepare for what is the only global music market in the African region.
Gugas Veiga made this request on Monday, the 10th, at the Jorge Barbosa National Auditorium in Praia, at the opening of the 9th edition of AME, which was marked by a show with various exclusively Cape Verdean rhythms.
According to the general director, more than 700 musicians, more than 200 bands and artists, and more than 200 national and international journalists have already passed through AME, considered a cultural landmark of Cape Verde for the world.
However, there are some challenges to be overcome so that the event can be held more professionally, especially financing and a space to organize the event.
