AME 2017: Government and music producers recognize difficulties in exporting music and national artists

Praia, April 11 (Infoprress) – The Minister of Culture and Creative Industries and producers of the music sector have recognized in Praia today that the country has had difficulties in exporting music and national artists.

“We have to find more financing and resources for the export of Cabo Verdean music and artists,” said the minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraao Vicente, to the press after “welcome” to the participants in the 5th edition of Atlantic Music Expo (AME-CV) and conferences with Cabo Verdean music producers.

The minister recalled that his ministry has a cabinet to export Cabo Verdean culture in all its aspects, literature, music and dance, but in his view “we have to be aware that more than creating cabinets we must grant them of resources”.

In the Abraao Vicente perspective, financing must be done in two ways, that is, with the resources of the State that passes through the subsidization for the internationalization of Cabo Verdean music and culture and also in making companies believe in the project and be part of this project.
