Praia, Sep 26th (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, announced today in the United States of America that the plane for the Coast Guard should arrive in the country in the first half of 2024.
The Head of Government made this statement after a meeting with the Assistant Major General of the National Guard of the State of New Hampshire (USA), David Mikolaities, when questioned by the press about the matter.
Ulisses Correia e Silva, who was with the Minister of National Defence, Janine Lélis, said that the meeting served to strengthen the partnership signed in February last year with the New Hampshire National Guard.
According to Ulisses Correia e Silva, the device acquired by ASA and which will be made available to the Coast Guard to guarantee surveillance services in the maritime zone of Cape Verde, serves to support medical emergency, search and rescue situations, and should reach the Country in the first half of 2024.
