AILPcsh discusses challenges and legacies about housing and State in the pandemic context in lusophone space

Praia, May 10 (Inforpress) – AILPcsh announced for next July a debate, online, on “housing and State in Portuguese-speaking countries: Legacies and Challenges”, in the pandemic context in lusophone space.

In an informative note to which Inforpress had access, the International Association of Social and Human Sciences in Portuguese language (AILPcsh) states it intends, in the current pandemic context and the climate crisis, to discuss the histories and the future of the relationship between housing and the State in Portuguese-speaking countries.

The event, according to the same source, should bring together speakers from various disciplinary areas interested in the built environment, namely architecture, urban geography and urban sociology, urbanism and land planning, stressing the meeting aims to promote the sharing of reflections on housing policies in Brazil, Cabo Verde, Angola, Portugal and Mozambique.

The note also reports this first AILPcsh meeting in the architecture and urbanism area will serve for the creation of a Research and Work Network, as well as for the publication of a thematic issue of the Travessias magazine.
