Praia, Sep 16 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean women’s senior basketball team lasts the preparation work in Cameroon, where next Saturday play against Kenya in its debut match of Fiba AbroBasket 2021, which takes place from 18 to 26 this month.
The Creole squad appears to be one of the 12 national teams of this continental event and is part of Group A, shared with the national teams of Cameroon and Kenya.
According to the schedule, Cabo Verde debuts this Sunday, the 18th, against Kenya in a match to be played in the “Yaounde, Palais Polyvalent des Sports” and ends its participation in the group stage as early as Monday, the 20th, against the locals of Cameroon.
For AfroBasket 2021, Cabo Verdean coach António “Zola” Moreira summoned athletes Jade Leitão, Indira Évora, Analeesia Fernandes, Joseana Vaz, Arlia Almeida, Monalisa Mendes, Jessica Vaz, Juvelina Bento, Vandell Andrade, Aylin Pires, Ornela Livramento and Maria “Tchumamai” Correia.
