Praia, Oct 14 (Inforpress) – The Government of Cabo Verde has signed a 20 million Euro loan agreement with the African Development Bank (AfDB) for budgetary strengthening will be channelled into the modernization of the Cabo Verdean Public Administration.
At the signing, the Minister of Finance Olavo Correia stressed that this loan is an “excellent impetus” for the achievement of Cabo Verde’s ambition in the field of electronic governance and, in short, the modernization of the State and Public Administration.
“We are building the bridge to return normality post-COVID-19 and we have ambitions to improve the business environment and prioritize digital. We assume digital as an accelerator factor of the modernization of the central Public Administration as a place, but also as an instrument to improve the quality of service provided to citizens and businesses”, he added.
Olavo Correia also spoke about digital as “a powerful tool” to promote not only good governance, but also transparency in public management and improve the business environment and investment climate to increase business productivity and ensure the digital transition.
