Acrides launches “Child Friendly Justice” campaign to raise awareness and protection of children

Praia, Apr 9 (Inforpress) – The president of the Disadvantaged Children Association (Acrides), Lourença Tavares, told Inforpress   the “Child Friendly Justice” campaign, launched today, aims to raise awareness among Cabo Verdeans for the problem of child protection.

Speaking to Inforpress, Lourença Tavares called for the raising of all professionals’ awareness who are part of the support network for children victims of sexual violence, in order to play with “zeal and dedication” their role with a child who suffered such abuses.

The launch of the “Child Friendly Justice” campaign takes place this Friday, the 9th, at the headquarters of the public transport company Sol Atlântico, which made available three bus lines, in Praia, for the placement of the posters of said initiative, with the aim to involve Cabo Verdeans at the national level raising awareness on this problem, said the Acrides president.

Lourença Tavares asked to society more protection and love for children and defended the need to create television and radio programs to help in the education of the families of victims.
