Praia, Feb 22 (Inforpress) – The Basic Education School of Achada Grande Trás, in the City of Praia, received this Saturday one batch of school supplies, resulting from the partnership with associations and community emigrated from that location, based in Portugal and the USA.
According to the member of the Kumunitaria Association of Achada Grande Trás (AKAGT), José Carlos, the initiative, which had the involvement of the Marrocos Development Association, arose from the need to help, above all, the most vulnerable children of the localities, taking into account that Achada Grande Trás is one of the “very needy” localities of Praia.
“With the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic many families have seen their difficulties increased, so we decided to requesting support to help those most in need,” said José Carlos, also known as Picaxu, who also thanks those who, in the midst of the pandemic, thought on their communities.
“From what we know from the pandemic, Europe and the US are in more complicated situations than Africa, but there are still people concerned about our community here. So it’s an act of praise,” he added.
