Mindelo, Dec 2 (Inforpress) – The permanent secretary of the Public Administration Transport Union (Sintap) this Tuesday asked the Government to make an intervention at the National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG) to approve the Career Plan and Wages (PCCS).
At a press conference at the Unions of São Vicente (USV) headquarters, the Sintap’s leader, Luís Fortes, who also spoke on behalf of the Union of Transport, Communication and Public Administration (Sintcap), said that the PCCS “is a pending of justice, which is urgent, necessary and indispensable for the proper functioning of INMG ”.
“INMG employees want the PCCS approved, later this year, so that this instrument will bring justice, balance, appreciation, equality, equity and replacement of labour rights to those who, in fact, have standing, with a lot of responsibility and dedication the National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics”, said Luís Fortes.
According to the union leader, the non-publication of the PCCS has already motivated several struggles of INMG workers, for example in 2019 when they started the year with a strike warning that only went ahead, because the administration put the proposal on the table for negotiation of the PCCS.
