Praia, Nov 12 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente, Wednesday stressed the importance of the Access to Culture Scholarship program, pointing out the great impact on Cabo Verdean youth for the future.
Abraão Vicente made this statement during the plenary session, during the period of questions to the Government, explaining that the program is transformative and focuses on students and their artistic abilities.
According to the minister, in 2017, 11 million escudos were financed, with 42 schools and 1.160 students benefited, on nine islands and 16 municipalities.
In 2018, as he stated, there were more than 14 million escudos, financed directly by the Treasury of Cabo Verde and through an agreement allowed the implementation of the project with the Directorate-General for Employment, Vocational Training and Internship.
