10th anniversary of the Portuguese Language Day celebrated with “Portuguese Language Market” in Lisbon

Praia, Apr 16 (Inforpress) – The UCCLA will promote the “Portuguese Language Market” with exhibitions of handicrafts, gastronomy, music, dance and literature from May 3 to 5, in celebration of the Portuguese Language Day in Lisbon.

According to an information note published at the the Union of Luso-Afro-American-Asian Capitals Cities (UCCLA) official website, aiming to honor the Portuguese language and the union of the various cultures around the world, this initiative intends to promote handicrafts, dance, literature, music and the flavors of all continents.

The event, according to the statement, will feature an area for handicrafts sale and gastronomy, stage where the guest artists will perform throughout the 3 days and a leisure area with tables and chairs for the general public.

The Portuguese Language Market will be attended by several Lusophone countries and regions, namely Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Goa, Guinea Bissau, China, Galicia, Macau, Malacca, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe and East Timor and is carried out in partnership with the City Hall of Cascais.
